Some days just suck!

Commuting just sucks some days!
Today is one of those days, as I sit, stuck in traffic, in the Holland Tunnel typing this blog. Of course it gives me time to write my blog, but it keeps me from getting home to where I have a gazillion things to do and never enough time to do it! Already leaving work later than I should have, and now to sit in traffic and have to continue to wait. Not to mention the food shopping that I have to do on the way home. By the time I get home, it will be after 7:30pm and I haven't eaten dinner yet! And I need to be in bed by 10pm in order to get up at 4:30am the next morning. What a total mess!!

This should teach me to leave late. It is bad enough to get into work every day at 6:30am and start working, but now, I leave at 5:00 only to get stuck in traffic to where I end up moving out of the Tunnel by 6:00!! OMG, what a disaster! Of course it usually happens in rain, snow, sleet and hail and, of course, massive accidents don't help the situation. Love to go back to the days where I can take a train into the city and not worry about traffic patterns. But that way is more expensive, takes 3 different modes of transportation, one of which I have to stand for 30 minutes and takes longer every day by about 40 minutes a day! Wow, what a choice! a 2 hour commute on bad days or more expensive, transfers, standing and not having to worry about traffic patterns, but have to walk 12 blocks to and/from one of those transportation hubs! I wonder what most of you would choose?

Oh well, some days just suck seems to be my motto lately.
When you are down about something, what do you do to "pick yourself up"?

Thanks for listening to me gripe today...

  1. today is not a day I am able to answer this one my dear friend, Doreen. Today, I found the difference between a friend and a friend who works for us and we gave him an opportunity.
