Those beautiful and wondrous things, coupons, that gives us discounts, sometimes small and sometimes HUGE depending on the deal. Making the deal makes me happy! Clipping the coupon and putting it with a sale item to get double the savings always makes me VERY happy! Triple dipping? OMG! What a RUSH! But when you Quadruple Dip!! Forget-about-it, there's nothing like that feeling! Woo hoo! Love, love love it! Can't get enough!! Is it any wonder I am part of purchasing and deal central?!?!? Is it any wonder everyone comes to me when they want to make purchases to see if I have any deals waiting in the wings! I have my web of sales come to me streaming every day - at any given time I know what the hottest internet deals, tech or not, that are going on at any given time.
Yes, you guessed it! I used to be an EXTREME couponer many moons ago in my "california" life! I used to go into grocery stores and get $200-$500 worth of groceries and pay $1 or one time I had a store manager hand me back $1.12!!! Couldn't believe it, but the store manager said he wanted his cash drawer to balance!! Too funny! Mom didn't believe me so when she came out to visit, I gave her her own envelope with coupons, and filled her cart with everything that was in mine. She did the checkout and handed him the coupons and paid 27 cents for a cart of groceries! She loved it and even talks about it to this day! I loved doing it and I loved giving away the food and groceries to people in need all the time. Our IT department one year actually sponsored a family in need. I helped to go shopping for the family, spent $4 and got them over $1,000 worth of groceries. There were bags and bags and bags. My VP thought that I had spent a fortune and when I showed him the receipts he didn't believe it and started laughing. He said, I should have expected it from you! Too funny! I'm sure most of you who know me and know how cheap I am probably wouldn't be surprised! But I consider myself very frugal! Why should I spend more money than I have to on anything?!!?! The answer is I shouldn't have to...
Just this weekend, did an awesome deal for Mom! Got her a laptop, oh yea, sweet deal! Really nice (for her purposes), got her the 15.6" screen, tons of RAM and plenty of HD space, the absolute necessities of course! Then I clicked through my rewards problem, got instant savings of $70 off, got Free shipping and then, used a COUPON for another $50 off!!! Quadruple-dip it baby! Can you say woo hoo??? Anyway, when all was said and done, we got the laptop shipped for $481 and she'll have it on Thursday. Included is a great first year warranty, I never like to dive too far into one because they usually have incentives to get you to buy another warranty the second year...of course! Anyway, I digress. This is in addition to the All-in-one HP that I got her for $79 and she's crazy about it. Of course she probably benefits most since I do a lot of the shopping for her, but since I do, I also use my click through rewards program and I get a little something for my time! This one - I got 5 points per dollar spent so that's 2,000 points - almost enough for a $25 gift card...good for me and she got a great deal!
I love it when you can pair coupons with deals and companies that allow you to use more than one coupon at a time. One of those sites is Via Murano. Use as many coupons as you want - woo hoo! Love doing that! If you're not shopping with a coupon on the internet - you are paying too much, trust me, you are and the investment in time once you know where to go is negligible, really!
I loved my last Omaha Steaks deal. I clicked through my rewards program, used a $20 off $79 coupon code, Got the free shipping email deal AND I used a code from a flier for $24.99 for 100 slices of precooked bacon that we keep in the freezer! OMG - what a great quadruple dip! One of my favorites, I've used that one before, especially when they give me such great deals on Filet Mignon. $5 filet mignon sale and then they give me coupons and free shipping, I'm there! No way I'll not be there!
Love shopping at Buy.com? Well....if you're not in a rewards program and clicking through there everytime you shop - you're not getting MORE for your money...how about Barnes and Noble, yup! They are a click through rewards member too! Along with about 300+ other companies on the internet! So if you aren't a member of a rewards shopping program, you really should be!!!
